February 3, 2020
Happy February!
This month we will be focusing a bit more on pelvic pain and the various conditions it can arise from and manifest. We often see patients who have other existing conditions that can be influencing their symptoms. Listening to our patients stories and symptoms during our initial evaluations is KEY. Acute and chronic pelvic pain can be debilitating and affect your quality of life. The cause of pelvic pain can be multifactorial and having a team of specialists including MD/DO, pelvic floor physical therapist and even an acupuncturist can help you find the relief you need!
Pelvic pain arise from (just to name a few):
- Pregnancy/postpartum
- Endometriosis
- Menstrual cramps
- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
- Uterine fibroids
- Chron’s Disease

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help resolve symptoms including
- Painful intercourse
- Urinary incontinence
